Welcome to Hydroinformatics 2026 in Zaragoza!

We are delighted to invite you to the 16th International Conference on Hydroinformatics, taking place in Zaragoza, Spain, from June 22 to 26, 2026. As digital transformation is present in all fields, and of course, also in water management, this conference will bring together global experts to explore how AI, cloud computing, data-driven strategies, and smart water technologies can drive a more sustainable and resilient future.

The Multi-Stakeholder Thematic Webinars will be held virtually as an additional opportunity for stakeholders to prepare for the UN 2023 Water Conference, including to encourage their contributions to the Water Action Agenda.  

The Regional Workshop on National Water Roadmaps, organised by FAO and hosted by the Government of Zimbabwe, is the first regional follow-up to the Rome Water Dialogue held in November 2022. It aims to inform about the overall role of water for Sustainable Development, providing a platform for all stakeholders to discuss and develop country-specific National Water Roadmaps, as proposed by FAO. 

Now in its 14th edition, Geospatial World Forum (GWF) has become a not-to-be-missed conference for the professionals engaged in geospatial and allied sectors. It is a collaborative and interactive platform that demonstrates the collective and shared vision of the global geospatial community.

World Water Day 2023 asks people to “Be the change you want to see in the world”.

Every year since 1993, World Water Day (22 March) raises awareness and inspires action to tackle the water and sanitation crisis.  It is about taking action to tackle the global water crisis of the 2.2 billion people living without access to safe water. 

World Water Day 2023 is about accelerating change to solve the water and sanitation crisis.

This year, at the invitation of the Moroccan authorities and in partnership with the Ministry of Equipment and Water of the Kingdom of Morocco, the International Network of Basin Organizations (INBO) and the World Water Council (WWC), the 3rd International Conference on Water and Climate (ICWC 3) will be held on 6 and 7 July 2023 in Fez, Morocco.

The first edition of the IEEE International Conference on Earth Observation and Geo-spatial Information (ICEOGI) 2023 is co-organized by the LTIR Laboratory of the University of Sciences and Technology Houari Boumediene (USTHB), Algiers and the LITIO Laboratory of the University of Oran 1 Ahmed Ben Bella (UORAN1), Oran. 

The Transformative Futures for Water Security Conference is set to take place in Cape Town, South Africa, from 15–17 February.

Water security is key to our collective future, yet many parts of the world are deeply water insecure. In addition, water security is deeply intertwined with climate security. In the face of a changing climate and without immediate and bold action, water security is set to worsen.

In this inspiring time for the space sector and its important contribution towards helping to realise the timely delivery of the SDG’s, ISRSE-39 offers a unique opportunity for in-depth, cross-disciplinary exchanges between key public and private sectors organizations and leading actors in the field of satellite observing systems, remote sensing applications and information services. A global event, the symposium places strong emphasis on practical applications and societal outcomes - at local, national and regional levels.

The Conference will aim to inspire action-oriented commitments by stakeholders at all levels. These commitments will comprise the “Water Action Agenda” – a platform for voluntary commitments and new and innovative approaches.

Geospatial technologies and remote sensing are valuable resources to monitor the United Nation's Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) and their corresponding targets and indicators. They allow for unbiased observation and analysis across borders, administrative boundaries, and nations. Furthermore, geospatial information and technologies are particularly critical to strengthening urban and rural resilience, where economic, agricultural, and various social sectors intersect.

While substantial progress has been made in increasing access to clean drinking water and sanitation, billions of people—mostly in rural areas—still lack these basic services.

This webinar will be focusing on the targets of the Sustainable Development Goal no 6 (SDG6) on clean water and sanitation:

Hydroinformatics is defined as the study of the flow of information and the generation of knowledge related to the dynamics of water in the real world, through the integration of modelling, information technologies and artificial intelligence considering sustainability and social implications for decision support and smart management of water-based systems.

The 9th Digital Earth Summit 2022, on theme
