The 13th IWA International Conference on Water Reclamation and Reuse hosted by the Federation of Indian Chambers of Commerce & Industry (FICCI) will be held from 15th – 19th January 2023.
The central theme of the conference is “Water Reuse: Overcoming the Challenges of Growth and Climate Change” and is intended to help progress towards the creation of sustainable water reuse solutions through multidisciplinary cooperation and learning from the extensive experience already gathered in countries around the world. The framework surrounding the central theme of the conference will deal with the full range of topics relating to water reclamation and reuse. There will be a focus on innovations and solutions that address water stress in integrated fashion from the three different angles of water reuse adoption, water reuse implementation and the removal of water reuse bottlenecks.
There will be a technical tour to the Koyambedu Industrial Water Reclamation Plant, a 40,000 m3/day (RO permeate) multiple barrier facility, which supplies highly purified reclaimed water to different industrial clients such as the automotive industry. The plant is considered to be part of the critical infrastructure, as it helps to both save freshwater sources and secure the industrial water supply.
