Normalized Material Suspended Index (NMSI)

NMSI is an algorithm that can analyzesuspended material in water by estimated and normalized based on the spectral reflectance in the channel in the visible wave range including blue, green and red channels.

The NMSI equation is as follows

NMSI = (red band + green band - blue band) / (red band + green band + blue band)
