Summer Flows

Depending on the river's geographic location, summer flows and winter flows are different. For example, for the Nile River in Egypt, the summer flow at the high dam is 2500 m3/sec; whereas, the winter flow is around 1000 m3/sec. This is so because Egypt gets its water from Ethiopia where the rain is heavier when it is summer in Egypt.

Other places in the world like the USA have summer flows with certain patterns like Lake Ontario in the following link: https://ijc.org/en/loslrb/watershed/faq/1
