Themal Infrared (TIR)

Wavelength: 10.60–12.51µm
"The thermal infrared band sees heat. Landsat’s thermal infrared uses emitted instead of reflected radiation. It has a coarser resolution of 100 meters but is still useful in understanding surface temperature, night studies and even volcano monitoring." (GISGeography.com, 2018)
