Radiation Hardened Computers
These computers resist data corruption and physical damage from being exposed to high levels of ionizing radiation by using specialized manufacturing techniques, specialized materials (like sapphire) and shielding among others to protect computer hardware from radiation. Do to the complexities involved in radiation hardening, these computers tend to lag behind the latest commercial-grade computers in terms of computational performance.
