High resolution optical imagers

"Satellite images are only as good as their resolution. The smaller the pixel size, the sharper the image (higher resolution). High-resolution satellite imagery tracks the changing human footprint across the globe, including rapidly growing cities, urban sprawl, and informal settlements." (Earth Observing System 2019)

Very high resolution satellites produce optical images with a resolution of 0-1m. Some examples include DEIMOS-2, EROS-B and IKONOS (Geocento n.d.)
