Analytical Hierarchy Process (AHP)

"A structured decision-making method based on pairwise comparisons between criteria for organizing and analyzing complex decisions, based on mathematics and psychology." (Chen 2006)

AHP is a structured technique developed for organizing and analyzing complex decisions. It helps decision-makers find the best option by reducing complex decisions to a series of pairwise comparisons and then synthesizing the results. It structures a problem into a hierarchy of criteria, sub-criteria, and alternatives, allowing for the systematic evaluation of elements based on their relative importance. (Saaty, 1980)
