Overview

"The 6th Nile Basin Development Forum (NBDF) hosted virtually by Ethiopia, will focus on assessing whether NBI Member States have been implementing water resources investments at a speed and scale commensurate with the growing demand for food, water and energy across the Basin. Given the significant shortfall in meeting these demands, the need to re-examine and overhaul, as needed, our approach and practice is urgent" (HE Dr Eng Seleshi Bekele - Minister of Water Resources and Energy)

As a series of webinars, the Forum will explore how to shift towards a more efficient and effective approach with regard to implementation of investment projects in the Nile Basin to improve lives.

The webinars will also cover all the critical six sub themes of the Nile Basin Initiative ten-year strategy: water security, energy security, food security, environmental sustainability, climate change adaptation and trans-boundary water governance
