Water–Food–Health Nexus

The Water–Food–Health Nexus refers to the interconnected relationship between water availability, food security, and human health. It recognizes that access to safe and sufficient water influences food production, nutrition, and overall well-being. At the same time, food systems and nutritional status affect health outcomes, particularly in vulnerable populations. This approach emphasizes integrated solutions that improve water access, strengthen food security, and promote better health simultaneously, especially in regions affected by climate variability, poverty, or environmental challenges.
