Types of Land

Land types include industrial, agricultural brownfield, greenbelt, and contaminated land. There are also many different types of land use, including commercial, residential, industrial, institutional, transportation, and recreational. (Move Hut n.d.)
Furthermore, Lim et al. (2005) categorised 16 land cover types: Evergreen needle leaf forest, Evergreen broadleaf forest, Deciduous needle leaf forest, Deciduous broadleaf forest, Mixed forest, Closed shrubland, Open shrubland, Woody savannah, Savannah, Grassland, Wetland, Cropland, Urban, Natural vegetation mosaic, Snow and ice, Barren or sparsely vegetated.
