My upbringing on a farm set out the foundation for my interest in water resources, as I used to collect water for domestic and agricultural purposes from the streams.

On the use of remote sensing for monitoring and modelling the water cycle

This workshop has brought together an international expert group of remote sensing (RS) specialists, water resources experts and water quantity modelers. This workshop has focused on:

Water Accounting + Online Training

Water accounting is the process of communicating water resources related information and the services generated from consumptive use in a geographical domain, such as a river basin, a country or a land use class; to users such as policy makers, water authorities, managers, etc.

The training platform includes links to freely available online training and exercises on water accounting, as well as a webinar series by ADB, IHE Delft, and recordings of relevant presentations in various languages.

2022 AWWA Sustainable Water Management Conference

The Sustainable Water Management Conference brings together water sector organizations and professionals to discuss all aspects of resilient and efficient water management. Attendees will gain insights into best practices for managing water resources, source water protection, sustainable utility planning, analyzing the costs and benefits of water conservation, and exploring alternative water sources including stormwater and reuse.

International Water Summit Water Scarcity in a Changing World

This summit will cover four main topics related to water scarcity in a changing world: Watec: Water Technologies, Emerging Contaminants in Water, Climate Change & Water Resources, and Water Challenges in the Developing World. In recognition of the scientists leading the way, we will be honoring the outstanding contributions, with the prestigious Zuckerberg Water Prize. Among the speakers are: Prof. Thalappil Pradeep, Prof. Lynn Katz, Prof. Thomas Clasen, Prof. Benny Chefetz, Dr. Shmuel Assouline, Prof. Dennis D. Water problems around the world are increasing; however, information useful for decision makers within the water sector and related to the water sector seems to be decreasing. Solving water problems requires information from many disciplines, and the physical accounts (describing sources and uses of water) are the most important foundation. The information has to be coherent and harmonized in order to provide an integrated picture useful for the assessment of the problems.

Benjamin is a poised and passionate Geospatial enthusiast and Environmental Hydrologist with a strong research focus on Groundwater Recharge, Flood Risks Terrain and Climate Change modelling. He has a wide range of expertise in GIS and Remote Sensing, Soil and Water Assessment Tool (SWAT), Python, and Google Earth Engine.
