Biography

Lu Shanlong is a hydrological and wetland remote sensing scientist. With a focus on advancing technologies for water resources management, environmental monitoring, and ecological conservation, Lu has developed several methodologies. Among his achievements is the creation of an unmanned water detection system platform, tailored for comprehensive monitoring of water resources, water environments, and water ecosystems. Additionally, Lu has pioneered remote sensing techniques for monitoring dynamic changes in water surfaces, as well as devising methods for estimating lake water storage and river runoff using remote sensing data.

Lu Shanlong's expertise is recognized through his extensive scholarly contributions. He has authored over 70 academic papers and has been involved in the publication of 5 books on hydrology and remote sensing. Furthermore, Lu's commitment to innovation is reflected in his significant intellectual property portfolio, which includes over 10 software copyrights and 8 invention and utility model patents.
